‘Penny Post Cottage is situated in the lovely village of Warton, Carnforth Lancashire. On the edge of the Lake District. The cottage has been lovingly restored, preserving its quaint spaces and unique features.
A charming and romantic cottage with a truly wonderful location. Steeped in an historical background, being adjacent to the picturesque St Oswald’s Church and Warton Rectory Ruins.
"We had a lovely time at Penny Post Cottage, everything was clean and tidy with all requirements catered for. The outside space was great and I’d love to come back in the warmer months to make the most of it. Inside was really comfortable and cosy especially with the stove going after a long days walk. All exactly as described. The view of the church from the cottage is nice and the locals were welcoming, we had a couple of drinks at The George Washington and the Old School Brewery, both were friendly and inviting with good quality pints. We were also impressed with the quality of food from The Honey Tree Chinese who were able to deliver. Katrina was an excellent host and has clearly considered her guests requirements. All in all a great little break that we’d be happy to recommend and we look forward to returning in the future"
